Question:

I efiled my taxes and why is it taking so long to process...they told me 72 hours and it has been a week?
my efile got accepted Jan 17, they said i could use the wheres my refund option in 72 hours...it still is telling me no info available...I called HR block they didn't understand it, I called the IRS and they didn't really give me any information either except they received it! Now i filed my brothers taxes same day as i did mine and he already can see when he is getting his refund. I just dint understand. I filed it right through HR BLOCK.com (both of them) and i entered all my correct info...Does anyone else know why this could be taking so long.

A-Best: Don't feel bad, everyone is having this same problem. Apparently the IRS is having problems with keeping up with the WMR site. Most people who filed the same time you did (including myself) still cannot see their status but for some reason those who filed within the last 2 or 3 days can. Supposidly, according to an IRS rep. everyone should be able to view their information by Monday or Tuesday, they update their site on Sundays & Mondays. As far as the date it will be deposited everyone who e-filed by the 21st is going to recieve their return by the 29th (possibly sooner).  

A: I filled on the 15th and was accepted on the 17th, Still Nothing on WMR. So I called today, and the guy said that everything was in order that the site only updates on the weekends. and it normally takes a week form when you were accepted to see any info on WMR. if you were before this weeks deadline of jan 21th 11am then you should get DD Jan 29th Source(s): 1-800-829-1954 and 1-800-829-1040(keep hitting 0 and you will get someone)
